What is Hyperhidrosis / Excessive sweating?
Hyperhidrosis otherwise known as excessive sweating affects up to 3% of the population worldwide. Due to lack of awareness many people live with this condition undiagnosed.

Hyperhidrosis can be embarrassing and very uncomfortable. In some cases, it can induce anxiety and disrupt your normal day-to-day lifestyle. This can range from personal relationships to emotional well being, recreational activities as well as how you feel about yourself in society.

The body's mechanism for cooling down is over-active in some people causing them to sweat 4-5 times more than normal.

How is excessive sweating treated?
A number of botulinum toxin injections are administered under each armpit. They work by blocking the nerve endings that supply the eccrine sweat glands, thereby preventing them from producing excess sweat.

How long does it take for treatment to work and how long does it last?
Treatment involves 15-20 small injections under each arm
Treatment is up to 90% effective
Treatment normally takes up to 30- 40 minutes to administer
Post-treatment results can be noticed within a week
Treatment can take up to two weeks to reach full effect
Results can last from 6-12 months depending upon the client's muscle tone

Is it painful?
Most clients' complain of mild stinging pain, as the needles used to administer botulinum are very fine and the doses injected are small amounts
